Guest guest
$8k, now convert that to pounds, and double it ( and thats just the wifes debts from her failed business ) then add a mortgage.Workin 6 days a week, lifes fun aint it? Goin back to the vets again tomorrow, I have to wait with Tigger to try and calm her down after she went for the vet last time, they dont trust her ( 15 years old waste of fur, more life in a tramps vest, but love her to bits ). Days leave used up again just to have her blood pressure taken, still, I get to do laundry when I get back.....woohoo exciting aint it? now what shall I do for the kids for dinner when they get home from school? Domesticated or what? The Valley Vegan.............. Guest guest
what I do like to spend on is organic fruits and veggies and good chocolate. every six months, I will buy some hippy clothes from a catalog, but I will limit myself to -under 60 dollars or so. Or three articles of clothing more or less. sometimes stuff that other people throw out are in good shape, specially here in north america, where some people are so wasteful. but I am reading asian filosophies that say life is short, things are just things health is wealth etc. , peter hurd <swpgh01 wrote: > > I feel that way too, unfortunately my wife doesnt share my beliefs, still paying her debts off! ah well one day, maybe a foriegn holiday, newish car, newish house............who am I kidding! > > The Valley Vegan................ Guest guest
We buy organic fruit and veggies too - in fact about 90% of our food and toiletries are organic. We won't always be able to do it, but its good while we can. Guest guest
I tend to buy clothes approx once a year - January sales, although with all the overtime I have been putting in I did manage to buy a new pair of skate shoes ( no I don`t - before you ask!) as the old ones have holes in the soles , but I always feel guilty spending money on myself. Guest guest
Hi Nikki It is expensive too. Guest guest
I`m lucky that I dont tend to grow out of things ( been 32" waist for 10+ years ), and I dont give a crap about fasion, so I tend to wear things out before I buy them, usualy 1 or 2 items in the sales a year. Ithink my wife takes pity though, because she buys me the odd shirt or jeans for christmas/birthday, but realy clothes are not high on my priority list.............
