well..i guess someone in england got the buggers to flower!!

aloe's generally take a number of years to send out the spike of flowers, and

they like lotsa sun...

 

dang..when i move its gonna be a pain to dig up my two in the backyard...

Ah - it sounds like Peter (VV) won't be getting flowers then - not much sun

in Wales :-)

 

I wonder if they would survive in the garden here... do you get frosts where

you live?

Same ammount of sun as where you live Jo, if not more being more southerly and all! But no, mine is a warm kitchen dweller, too little light............ aloe's *in general* don't like frost...

but, certain varieties are hardier then others

in colder climes..if they can be covered in winter and kept dry, they'll do

better
