Guest guest
Hi Corinna I am not aware of baking chocolate chips but there are several makes of vegan chocolate. I use Green & Black's - check on the pack which says suitable for vegans, as some are milk chocolate. Lindt make a bar called Excellence which is 70% cocoa and is vegan. Elizabeth Shaw mint chocolate rounds, and orange chocolate rounds are vegan. In health shops or on the internet you can buy Montezuma chocolate and Whizzer mini chocolate eggs or footballs. From Dr Hadwen you can buy all sorts of boxes of chocolate or chocolate bars, or fudge, 'honeycomb', etc. Jo , corinna gaster <cor390 wrote: > > Is there such a thing as vegan baking chocolate chips > if so what is the brand name and from where can I > order it -the GAIA brand has been discontinued ALso > want vegan chocolate for eating > --- > wrote: > > There are 25 messages in this issue. > > > > Topics in this digest: > > > > 1. Guest guest
Hi Corinna~ I usually just read the ingredients in the chips making sure that no milk products were added. There is a brand that I usually buy that is organic and vegan, but I do not have it on me right now to get you the name. Sorry. I will be picking it up on Sat when I go shopping, so I will try to remember to post it. Or just remind me if my brain lapses. Also I have to ask a favor, when replying to a digest post, please remember to delete any info in your message that does not apply to make it easier and shorter to read. Guest guest
Hi Fraggle~ I think that is the one! Dark brown bag, with a sun and something green on it. I haven't bought it in a couple of weeks so I cannot remember. They are so YUMMY! I use them instead of a chocolate bar and just grab a handful to munch. Quite expensive tho. Guest guest
I have heard a rumour that Cadburys Bourneville chocolate chips in the cooking stuff aisle in Supermarkets are ( unlike the bars of chocolate of the same name ) vegan. They may have the usual disclaimer ( made in a same factory as one using moo juice/ may contain traces etc ), but none of the ingredients listed are non vegan - but then the vegan police havent seen them yet to pass judgement!
