Guest guest
Its allegedly quite easy to squat in larger cities over here, with a few networks in place. Sorry to hear about the money troubles. Guest guest
Hi Peter >Its allegedly quite easy to squat in larger cities over here, with a few networks in place. It is very easy... all you need to do is finding the local squatting co-ops, which you usually come across fairly quickly if you get involved in any sort of political activism. It's also not illegal in England (although it is in Scotland), so they can't do anything about it until the owner of the property gets an eviction order from a court, and then most times people leave peacefully because there's so many empty properties around that it's not hard to find another squat... Guest guest
its give and take larger place..smaller yard farther from BART(our pathetic version of a subway/metro) and a tad farther from freeways..closer to SF further from everyplace we go to...but...neighborhood might not be as bad as the ones we live in now... even if it is back out in west oakland.... Guest guest
We helped our daughter move - three times in two years. The first move was from a second storey flat to us, with some stuff in storage. The second was to her third storey flat. Then she woved in to her partners place for a year. When they had to leave there and go back to her flat we helped move his belongings from a basement flat to her third storey flat. I swear that is the last time we do it - we're no spring chickens now. Thankfully Peter helped with a couple of the moves, otherwise we would never have got the washing machine etc. up three storeys!
