Guest guest
It's a Summit Raspberry bush - red berries I tried them last year too but something killed the 2 bushes. Probably the dog. So I only bought one this year and moved it to a different spot and I hope it takes. You really shouldn't write things like that - I was disappointed when I realised that it wasn't the Bushes I was thinking of! :-( BB Peter
Guest guest
berries have a high level of antioxidants, anticancer and brain power. Eat those weeds! , peter hurd <swpgh01 wrote: > > I thought Blackberries were Brambles ( akin to weeds over here ) nasty buggers with lots of thorns and grow like mad. >
Guest guest
that's a shame about the leads, also make sure that you know which ones are poisonous or not. I myself would need to look in book, before I would eat any wild berries. , peter hurd <swpgh01 wrote: > > Bramble Jelly is one of my fave preserves, oh and I love Apple and Blackerry tart/crumble, problem these days with picking wild berries is a lot of them are so full of lead etc, as they grow next to roads. > > The Valley Vegan........... >

Guest guest
We are lucky to have brambles growing over from the field behind us - well I say lucky - lucky to have the blackberries, but it's a never ending job keeping them back from taking over the garden. The Valley Vegan...........jo <jo.heartwork wrote: They are one and the same here. As you say, very nasty thorns, but taste lovely. I got all wrapped up in brambles when I was trying to clear the end of our garden. Just as well Colin was around or I'd stillbe there :-)Jo - peter hurd Wednesday, May 10, 2006 6:58 PM Re: Re: We have raspberry I thought Blackberries were Brambles ( akin to weeds over here ) nasty buggers with lots of thorns and grow like mad. When I was a liitle boy me and my friends used to get cut to bits picking them buggers to sell door to door.
