We have mockingbirds

almost everyplace i've lived in the last, oh, 15 yrs, there's been a mockinbird

somewhere in the neighborhood which mimics car alarms

like the one the lives next door now, right outside our bedroom window...

every 4 in the bleedin mornin!!

LOL - I shouldn't laugh really, but it is quite sweet. When I was in

hospital about twelve years ago, there was a blackbird that copied the

ambulance sirens, and that's what it did for the dawn chorus - very clever

:-)

All the ( Corvids?) are intelligent - Crows/Ravens/Magpies/Jays etc...bit spooky some of them ............ Some are spooky. Magpies always make me laugh. They come into the garden to eat the seeds from the feeders and as soon as they see us looking they fly away, guiltily.
