Guest guest
LOL - I shouldn't laugh really, but it is quite sweet. When I was in hospital about twelve years ago, there was a blackbird that copied the ambulance sirens, and that's what it did for the dawn chorus - very clever :-) Jo - " fraggle " <EBbrewpunx Thursday, May 11, 2006 10:34 PM Re: Re: We have mockingbirds almost everyplace i've lived in the last, oh, 15 yrs, there's been a mockinbird somewhere in the neighborhood which mimics car alarms like the one the lives next door now, right outside our bedroom window... every 4 in the bleedin mornin!! http://www.birds.cornell.edu/BOW/NORMOC/ http://www.mockingbirds.org/ >jo <jo.heartwork >May 11, 2006 1:43 PM > >Re: Re: We have rain > >What do mockingbirds look like? > >Jo > >- > " Anouk Sickler " <zurumato > >Thursday, May 11, 2006 5:30 PM > Re: We have rain > > >> aww, >> a mockinbird couple, feels very at home >> in my backyard. >> >> I guess they like to eat my insects. >> the funny thing is that they chase other birds away, >> even though they don't eat the sunflower seeds >> in the birdfeeder. > > > > > >To send an email to - >

Guest guest
Some are spooky. Magpies always make me laugh. They come into the garden to eat the seeds from the feeders and as soon as they see us looking they fly away, guiltily.
