Guest guest
those large black birds, come around. they have a fight each morning with the blue jays, and the mockingbirds. but lately, the mockingbirds, seem to have gone somewhere but they left their two babies. the babies are not territorial and don't mind sharing with other birds like the mourning doves and the cardinals which are the shyiest. everytime, I see a new bird, I look it up on a book or on the internet. something funny is that my three year old and I are outside often gardening and we sing the scobby doo song. I wistle it too. because he is learning the words and the tune. and in the mornings at about 6 am, i swear that I hear the mockingbirds sing the scooby do song. , fraggle <EBbrewpunx wrote: > > grackles are noisy gregarious aggressive birds... > like large black birds... > mostly found in the midwest and east coast.... > guess they are sorta like starlings > (also think there is a species of grackle in the south and southwest of the US) >

We saw a gorgeous little one in Kingston last summer. He was obviously used to people, and he was sitting on a fence. I chatted to him (I know I'm mad) and he was quite interested. > > Jo
