Guest guest
Go on, you will enjoy it............ Gruff Rhys will be appearing at Bristol's Cube Cinema on Monday May 29th as a warm-up for his forthcoming solo tour of Canada (supporting Bright Eyes). Doors will open at 8pm and tickets are £6 available from Bristol Ticket Shop0870 4444 400. The Valley Vegan..................Peter <metalscarab wrote: Hi Peter >Hi Peter, which restaurant is that? Cafe Maitreya is the very good (but slightly expensive) one.... but there's loads of other good places - depends on what you want.... I recommend the One Stop Thali who do a great vegan Thali... there's also at least 3 good cafes who do a good range for vegans. I also forgot to mention to Fraggle that Bath has Demuths - I've never been there myself, but I've heard nothing but good things about it.... To be honest, folk isn't really my thing... although the Cube is a very good venue, and a centre of "underground" activity in Bristol :-) BB Peter

Guest guest
Bristol is quite nice - quite 'alternative' in comparison to where I live. Not a bad little venue. There's hundreds of pubs down there, so you could have gone to any of them!!! BB Peter

Guest guest
If i ever go to england, I will go straight to Manchester. because that is the place that I most identify with, and have romantic notions of. there is a book out called morrisseys manchester and i have it on my bookshelf. but really a lot of historic (musically) places i know in my head due to my interest in the musician/singer. I believe that tears for fears is from bath john lennon was from liverpool boy george is from london p.j. harvey from dorset duran duran from birhmingam etc, etc, etc. if only my geography/social studies teacher had thought of teaching us this way back in the tenth grade. , " jo " <jo.heartwork wrote: > > Bristol is quite nice - quite 'alternative' in comparison to where I live. > > Jo
Guest guest
Hi Anouk >If i ever go to england,>I will go straight to Manchester.>because that is the place that I most identify with, and have>romantic notions of. Ummm - well, as places go in England, there's not many more likely to destroy any romantic notions you may have than Manchester!!!! Guest guest
Mancs are not the most endearing race - simular to scousers ( sorry if any on here - yes I know there are good and bad in every etc, etc, ), but they do have a tram system!I dont know what you expect to find there? The Hacienda closed down, what happened to Factory Records? Morrisey lives abroad,Happy Mondays/Stone Roses/Inspiral Carpets all gone! I think its a totally different place to 20 years ago like most places. I suppose, it's just nostalgia but you gotta understand.. , " Peter Kebbell " <metalscarab wrote: > > Hi Anouk > Ummm - well, as places go in England, there's not many more likely to > destroy any romantic notions you may have than Manchester!!!! > > BB > Peter >
