Guest guest
stay at home mom makes lunch fer her kid, and then photographs it and rates em! http://veganlunchbox.blogspot.com/ as a total aside and personal note...the little compartmentalized lunch box somehow just really really bugs me!!! What's gonna happen when the buses don't run and what's gonna happen when the, winter comes what are you gonna do, what are you gonna do when the oil runs out? Guest guest
good relief for me, that schools are out for summer here in the south. I find it a chore, trying to come up with interesting things to pack for lunch, because i don't want my child to get bored. I don't know if people know this but peanut products or nuts of any kind are not allowed in schools. this is because they don't want a lawsuit from some kid who's allergic to peanuts. (same reason that they don't give em in planes any more) meanwhile, they sell alll kinds of bad and animal foods in the cafeteria. although to their credit, they are trying to " improve " and follow that US pyramid !! , fraggle <EBbrewpunx wrote: > > stay at home mom makes lunch fer her kid, and then photographs it and rates em! > > > http://veganlunchbox.blogspot.com/ >
Guest guest
Will they not allow nuts as part of a special diet? Maybe they should stop wheat products too - they don't do me any good. Guest guest
I wonder what age parents are weaning their babies now. I think maybe it is too soon, and they cannot deal with the food they are given. Guest guest
could be.... i really have no clue if folks are weaning babies sooner now er not my thoughts are its a synergistic effect of everything around us...all the pollutants and chemicals we a re tossing into our air, environments, bodies...all these irritants... i read somewhere they are blaming it on " hygiene " people are cleaning to much i'd more point the finger at wot they are using to clean.... but..dunno... >jo <jo.heartwork >May 24, 2006 10:16 AM > >Re: Re: lunch > >I wonder what age parents are weaning their babies now. Guest guest
Could be the cleaners - but when I was a kid some pretty harsh cleaners were used - people weren't aware of green issues. Maybe it's something to do with the chemicals they use on the peanuts. Guest guest
but they extended it to no nuts of ANY kind.. it is an incovenience to a vegetarian parent who has to pack a lunch. , fraggle <EBbrewpunx wrote: > > they stop peanuts in some skools because allergies are getting worse and worse here... > i guess some kids are so allergic to peanuts they go into shock just from touch.... > some skools just stop all peanuts and peanut product because it would be too difficult they figure to > a. stop kids sharing lunches > b. make all kids wash their hands.... > > strange world > > > >heartwerk <jo.heartwork > >May 23, 2006 11:41 PM > > > > Re: lunch > > > >Will they not allow nuts as part of a special diet? > > > >Maybe they should stop wheat products too - they don't do me any good. > > > >Jo > > > > > What's gonna happen when the buses don't run > and what's gonna happen when the, winter comes > what are you gonna do, > what are you gonna do > when the oil runs out? >
Guest guest
same reasons skools are freakin out over potential lawsuits, since allergies seem to be on the increase... so, they issue blanket statements to cover their butts... the way they are lookin at it, one child brings in a snickers bar, shares it out, and another kid dies of anaphylactic(sic) shock.... >Anouk Sickler <zurumato >May 24, 2006 3:09 PM > > Re: lunch > >but they extended it to no nuts of ANY kind.. > >it is an incovenience to a vegetarian parent who has to pack a lunch. > > > > , fraggle <EBbrewpunx wrote: >> >> they stop peanuts in some skools because allergies are getting worse >and worse here... >> i guess some kids are so allergic to peanuts they go into shock just >from touch.... >> some skools just stop all peanuts and peanut product because it >would be too difficult they figure to >> a. stop kids sharing lunches >> b. make all kids wash their hands.... >> >> strange world >> >> >> >heartwerk <jo.heartwork >> >May 23, 2006 11:41 PM >> > >> > Re: lunch >> > >> >Will they not allow nuts as part of a special diet? >> > >> >Maybe they should stop wheat products too - they don't do me any good. >> > >> >Jo >> > >> >> >> What's gonna happen when the buses don't run >> and what's gonna happen when the, winter comes >> what are you gonna do, >> what are you gonna do >> when the oil runs out? >> > > > > > > > > >To send an email to - >
