I don't know New Malden much. Were you ever sad to leave it - or

just pleased you made the decision?

never sad. in the 60's aussies were full of bull when i arrived. i hated there. the cops carried guns like wannabe yanks... nothing's changed in that department.

i wanted to turn back then and there but had to take off to nz with a long story. i tried saving to get back but alcoholic good times prevented me from raising the cash.

when i finally got back in the late 70's... the english had gone to the dogs, had electric carving knives, toothbrushes, etc. i was glad i was outa tha place... loved the pubs though, so friendly.

i have not been back since with no regrets.

peace

colin.
