Hi Tikimate

Welcome to the group....

In answer to your question, I think it's perfectly natural to get angry at people for eating meat - particularly when you've only fairly recently learned all that's wrong with doing so. I don't tend to get angry nowadays, but then I see more and more people going veggie / vegan, which can only be a good sign :-)

howdy and welcome to the group

i'm sure most everyone prolly gets angry at one time er another

but i guess the thing to realize is, remember 10 months ago?

:)

i guess if we could focus the anger toward positive stuff

easier said then done...

personally, i just go outside and scream at the butterflies if i need to

they don't mind, and i either feel dumb er relieved..either way....

cheers

Hi - welcome to Vegan Chat.

I don't get angry, but I do feel sad about it, and sometimes disappointed in

people who are otherwise caring. I try not to feel this way though, as it

doesn't achieve anything.

First Post.... The angry vegan

Hello all,

New to this group, but not veganism.

I have been vegan for about 9 months and have read just about all

vegan literature there is because education is a great thing, now when

people ask me why i have facts not... because.

But anyways, has anyone else been through periods where they are just

angry at people for eating meat. I know that anger isnt the way to get

through to people but its very hard not to get angry.

Hi Fraggle

I think the butterflies would mind - they would find it pretty scary! I

guess if they don't know you're shouting at them it would be okay :-)

I hope you are right, the last statistics I saw had a downturn in people going vegan and vegetarian, very disheartening. I dont get realy angry anymore either, I just feel sorry that they dont or wont think about what they are doing. I feel kind of sad for them............ Hi Tikimate and WELCOME!

I don't think I have ever gotten angry, just tired and disgusted. I

live with two carnivores tho, so it happens daily here unfortunately.

hi tikimate,

I myself, go through many periods sometimes in one day.

sad, angry, hopeful, optimistic and then back to sad.

it is ok.

any little thing that we can do helps,

your drop in the bucket.

even if it is just a casual word that you say to your neighbor,

like.. when my neighbor asked us how our thanksgiving went.

our thankgiving dinner was delicious!

and then when they say

" who cooked the turkey "

you say,

turkey?? actually we had the best (insert favorite dishes)and blah,

blah, blah.

I hope that you stay and not be one of those shy people that

posts once and then never again.

maybe they are not shy and maybe it was something that I said?
