(see nikki, the place is just evil!) he had been house majority leader, and was known as the Hammer, because of his enforcement of republican party discipline in voting and was known for exacting political retribution on all opponents. he helped form the K street lobbying group (a republican tilted lobbying focus group based on k street in wash dc)..(basically allowing corporations easier access to funnel money and bribes to congress).. delay is a strong fundamentalist, who said of fellow ex congress critters Newt Gingrich and Dick Armey that they weren't christian enough (newt gingrich was the author of the "republican revolution" back in the mid 90's here..when they took over the House and started ramming thru the conservative agenda) Delay was a big force behind the clinton impeachment(not that i liked clinton really, but wot a stoopid waste of time, energy and resources) anyways..all his troubles recently stem from a. gerrymandering of election districts in texas, making it impossible for anyone but republicans to win b. the jack abramoff scandal(huge lobbying/bribabry scandal) c.violation of campaign finance laws, and perjury resulting from his testimony and on and on and on Peter Kebbell May 25, 2006 8:47 AM Re: won't you please help..poor tom delay Hi Fraggle >found the website for poor congressman tom delay, the poor corrupt lil nazi....
