Guest guest
Hi All We've been away in Cornwall. We stayed at the Michael Vegetarian Guesthouse in Treknow, near Tintagel. We have been for weekends before, and I would definitely recommend it. The food is really good, and all the soap etc. is vegan. We had dinner there every night except one, when we had a job to find somewhere to eat. The vegetarian restaurant we had planned on going to now does not open in the evening. We went there at lunchtime instead, and the food was quite good - we had Thai curry and rice. The only trouble was it was on the edge of the market, and the stall right outside their window was the butcher's van. We went to a pub in the evening for a light meal. There was one vegan starter - samosas with salsa sauce, which Colin had - and they did the garlic mushrooms in oil instead of butter for me. They were quite tasty. We went to Tavistock to revisit the veggie cafe we ate at a couple of years ago, to find it was no longer a veggie cafe. They told us of a newly opened sandwich bar which was organic and vegetarian. We visited it and had a lovely sandwich - hummous, roast vegetables, and lots of salad, with a soya decaff latte. On the way home we stayed with Peter as it was Colin's birthday yesterday, and Peter made a lovely stir fry with rice for us. Now we are back home with the thought of work tomorrow :-( Jo
Guest guest
Hi Jo, Sounds great, Ive been off all week as well, didnt go anywhere though, kids have their friends to play with, the oldest doesnt want to be seen locally with the old folks! I got my new mountain bike from the insurance money, and spent 4 hours out on it on Tuesday, nearly killed me! gettin old! Got it just in time as my mother has gone away for the next week, so have to feed and look after her cat, so have to cycle over before I go to work to feed and free her, then leave bike and go to work, go straight there from work and feed her again, then last thing at night get her in and read her a bed time story and tuck her in! Guest guest
I know those lyrics very well, that is The Cure. I am glad, that you are taking care of those kittens, and this cat is very smart to come to your house, she knows that you are a kind person. I am sure that there will be a happy ending and they will go into loving homes. you probably already know that they should be a little older before being taken away from their mom, she needs some good food, because they are probably breastfeeding like crazy. Thank you for doing this, I know that If I were to come into that situation that there would be no choice for me either, but to take care of them. , peter VV <swpgh01 wrote: > > Yes, I seem to spend a heck of a lot of my time on cats at the moment, what with hers, my two, and the stray and her kittens...............what have I done to deserve this? > > The Valley Vegan.................. > We're so wonderfully wonderfully wonderfully > Wonderfully pretty! > Oh you know that I'd do anything for you... > We should have each other to tea huh? > We should have each other with cream > Then curl up by the fire > And sleep for awhile > It's the grooviest thing > It's the perfect dream > > > > jo <jo.heartwork wrote: > Hi Peter > > I'm glad you have your bike now.
