Guest guest
I was looking at these by Red Mill - has anyone used them? http://www.bobsredmill.com/recipe/detail.php?rid=1148 Also, what is the difference between TVP and TSP (just the texture/shape?). Jann " Rhoda " <rsmith wrote: > Has anyone ordered from HarmonyHouse.com before? I placed my first order today for unflavored TVP. They have a wide selection of dried foods too so I'll probably make another order for veggies.

It comes invarious forms from small granules (like burger) to larger chunks (much like stewing beef). TSP is a non-food item for de-greasing walls and floors.... not to be eaten. Guest guest
LOL! NO, not that TSP, I meant " Textured Soy Protein " , I saw it here: https://www.bobsredmill.com/catalog/index.php? action=showdetails & product_ID=438 I actually picked up some TVP today at Whole Foods in the bulk section, I'm looking forward to experimenting! I'm overwhelmed with all the great recipes in the files, I'm looking in small batches! Jann " corsuts1 " <corsuts1 > TVP is textured vegetable protein. Guest guest
I have used a number of products from this company. My daughter is allergic to wheat and they make some fabulous glutin free flours and so forth. I am sure anything they put out is good. Guest guest
That's good to know! Thank you for posting! My TVP order has shipped so I should get it by Monday. Besides wanting to try their veggies, the dried fruit sampler looks great too. I've never seen dried strawberries before. Back when I had a food dehydratore I dried apple slices for my boys & they loved them. Rhoda - Zelda Saturday, February 09, 2008 5:38 PM Re: Re: Harmony House? and TVP? Guest guest
I just looked at the Harmony House site and the prices are kinda spendy. I get 2lb bags of TVP from the Adventist Book Center and it only costs $2.74 Cherie " Be a blessing and you will be blessed. " Never miss a thing. Make your homepage. Guest guest
Cherie, I've heard that there is an Adventist book store in Texarkana which is 1 hour from me. I teach school so it's really hard for me to get there after school. I'm hoping that I can go during my spring break next month & have a look around. DH & I usually go to Texarkana on the weekend & the store is always closed on Saturday & Sundays. Last month I went to Shreveport, La & picked up the only bag of TVP in the health food store. It was a small bag like 14 oz. I'm going back to Shreveport this coming weekend & hope I can stop by there again. Rhoda - Cherie Ulery Saturday, February 09, 2008 11:05 PM Re: Harmony House? and TVP?
