Guest guest
I should give this a name. Was so good. Oh how about Chard On The Run Quick Sandwich 1 bunch of chard, washed and chiffonade cut 1/4 cup broth 1 squeezed garlic clove 1/2 onion chipped dash of your favorite spices and herbs, I used smoked paprika 1 or more, veg sausage split in half lengthwise heated (I fried a Tofurky Italian sausage) Submarine rolls (I opened the roll, spread a little butter and grilled it in an iron skillet) mayo of your choice I sauteed the chard in broth with garlic, onions, spices and herbs. I do this at a high heat for only a few minutes so it retains the crunchy texture and deep green color. While you saute the chard heat the iron skillet and brown the bun and sausage. Spread mayo on bun when done, I used Vegenaise, add the sausage and then chard, close the bun and enjoy. This was quick and delicious, so I just might have it again for my breakfast. ______________________________\ ____ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile.
