dinner tonight / temps

Last night I made vegetable egg rolls and cream cheese wontons for

dinner. They were delicious. I am up here in North Dakota and we are

having a blizzard today. We are getting a couple of inches of snow and

blowing winds up to 50mph today. We always go to church on Saturday

morning but we are staying home today, we live 40 miles from church.

Im not sure what the temps are supposed to bottom out at but it has

dropped 12 degrees in the last couple of hours and the wind chill is

going to be frigid. I am originally from Indiana so I am used to

winter weather but North Dakota redefines winter as I knew it. I can

relate to being happy about temps above zero. Yesterday it was in the

20s here and I went out in a fleece hoodie and it felt pretty good.

Yes Cherie, I also go to church on Saturday and live about 50 miles away from

our's. You stay tucked in at your warm home and stay safe. My parents once

visited the boarding academy up in your area and said it had been built like an

octopus, where you didn't have to go outside in the winter to get from the

dorms to the classrooms, gym, chapel, ad building, cafeteria, library. etc.....

They were all down different legs. My parents went in the summer, but the

staff told her that often the snow was 8 ft deep with highter snow drifts......

That would definitely redefine most winters.....

Your dinner sound delicious. Please share your recipes with us.......

North Dakota winters are probably even more fierce than we have here in

Anchorage. Fairbanks is another story. I grew up in Fairbanks and walked a

mile to school at 75 below zero wearing a dress. I did wear jeans under the

dress, but those had to come off as soon as I got to school. The wind would whip

through at about 80 mph. Here in anchorage it usually doesn't get more than

about 20 below. 15 years ago it was a lot colder.

That sounds like a wonderful dinner, where do you get a recipe for

either of them. I simpathize with you about the weather. I think we

are getting what you had now.
