That sounds so picturesque, Anne. I'd love to see your horses dashing thru the

snow........ LOL I think our horses would freak out, if they stepped thru

snow....... All you'd see us is thundering hoofs with snow flying, as they

raced everywhere and shivered.... Tonight it is getting into the 20's and I

was feeling sorry for ours........ For some reason their winter coats have grown

in as thick and fluffy as they usually do....... Probably those occasional mild

winter days that cause us to have wonderful unseasonable weather....... It

didn't get out of the 30's today, but was 74 yesterday.... I actually don't mind

the temps jumping all around...... here in southern Alabama.

When we are up in Canada though, we sure do enjoy sledding. We even bought one

that you sit upright on and you have a steering wheel, brakes and two ski's

under you... I like having that kind of control....... LOL It takes sledding

to a whole new level........ http://www.slate.com/id/2134736/ It is the

Torpedo picture on here. http://www.slate.com/id/2134693/ Now we need to get

to some snow and use that baby. It's just been sitting in my storage area for a

couple of years now, since my hubby has most recently only wanted to travel

north of the border during the summer....... LOL Who would have guessed he

grew up digging snow tunnels all over their 4 ft snow covered yard, every

winter....... He loves his warm climate now........

When we snow ski in Colorado at Breckinridge and A-Basin, we always take the

horse drawn sleigh ride between those two sister ski resorts...... I just love

it.........

Have fun for me in all that beautiful snow..........

OT - snow Re: newbies

Hi Audrey,

>Are you enjoying the cold and snowy winter?

Yes. We have horses. They love the snow. There is nothing like dashing

through the snow on a day like today.

I'm not so keen on driving the car in the snow.

Not so OT, because of course horses are vegetarians.

There are some winter pictures at the stable's Web Site. One of a cutter

ride on the Home Page and several on the Trail Rides Link.

I didn't know you have horses! Loved their pictures! My daughter

(15) has been taking riding lessons (English) since last Nov and loves

it. She's going to an agricultural high school and wants to do

something with animals.

We have our favorites at the barn, we're fairly new to horses and are

enjoying all the different personalities.

And I'm glad you finally got a crockpot - you'll love it!
