I've been trying to make my own falafel, and one of my lebanese friends

finally gave me his mom's recipe

1 cup DRIED chic peas (garbanzo beans)

1 cup fresh parsley

1 half diced small onion

1 tspn baking soda

cumin, chili pepper, salt, pepper

vegetable /canola/ corn/ etc oil

you can make more. as long as it's even amounts of chic peas and parsley

Don't soak or cook the chic peas

put 5 first ingredients in blender - the onion and parsley will add

mousture to the chic peas - when fully ground, make small thin patties

and fry in the oil

serve on pita with hommus, turnips, tomato, tahini, lettuce, etc....
