Guest guest
I moved from Chesapeake, VA this past summer and one of my favorite places to eat was Pasha's a little place with delicious food!! I miss it!! I was wondering if anyone could recommend to me a cookbook or two that features turkish and mediterranean cooking...I want to duplicate those delicious foods! OR if anyone can steer me to good recipes either on this site or elsewhere.....I would be most grateful! Kathleen VA
Guest guest
These are not vegetarian, but there are MANY non-meat recipes in The Complete Book of Turkish Cooking by Ayla Algar (it’s very authentic, IMO) and The Book of Middle Eastern Food (or, for that matter, her The NEW Book of Middle Eastern Food) by Claudia Roden. I have used both books extensively, and really enjoy them. Guest guest
My auntie gave me Classic Vegetarian Cooking From the Middle East & North Africa by Habeeb Salloum and I love it. The spice mixes and soups alone are worth the price of the book (19.95 new, probably can find on Amazon or elsewhere for less). Also try RecipeSource.com. Most of the international recipes seem very authentic to me. hth, Diane , " RAWKAW " <rawkaw wrote: > > I moved from Chesapeake, VA this past summer and one of my favorite places to eat was Pasha's a little place with delicious food!!
