Guest guest
There is a great lentil-potato burger recipe Brad posted in our files. It freezes well. Now I believe it is time to make those again. Guest guest
Have you tried the new Asian burgers by Morningstar Farms? We had them last weekend. 2 of us really liked them and 2 didn't care for them..... But then those 2 are more picky eaters. Guest guest
If you have a costco store, they have a kirkland brand all vegetable burger that is good. I don't eat soy, and this is the best one I can find with no soy in it. Katie mousa60 <mousa60 wrote: Can anybody tell me about veggie burgers. Guest guest
I've only had the original Morning Star and I stayed with them because I like them so much. I definitely like them more than Boca. However, after reading some of these posts, I can see I really need to branch out and try some variety...Pizza Burgers, Asian Burgers, etc. So many choices. How much can I eat?! :-) --- wwjd <jtwigg wrote: > Have you tried the new Asian burgers by Morningstar > Farms? We had them last weekend. 2 of us really > liked them and 2 didn't care for them..... Guest guest
There is a brand called " Garden Burger " (I hope I got it right)--or maybe " Garden Burger " is one type of another brand. The company makes both " vegetarian " (containing stuff like cheese, milk products and egg as ingredients) and vegan version they have several " flavors " with different ingredients, and the ones I have tried are really good. We've moved, and I have not found this brand of " veggie burgers " in the local stores near here. I am sure I could find them in the " other " place we shop--about 35 or 40 miles from here. I have tried a couple versions of the " Garden Burger " brand-- the vegan one is pretty good. Boca brand is also good. I like the " traditional " one that does taste " grilled " and has a nice texture. I've not tried Morningstar Farms' burger, however. The " Amy's " is good, too. Hope that helps you! --Laura B., in Illinois Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Try it now.
Guest guest
There are literally dozens of veggie burger companies, not to mention mixes, not to mention recipes. Much depends on your own tastes and restrictions. Some use eggs and cheese and other dairy products. Some are vegan. Read the labels and see what ingredients sound good to you. There are many small regional companies that make good grain based burgers. I like the Boca Vegan burgers. Yves also makes a nice vegan burger. Wildwood has a burger that has a softer texture because it's main ingredient is tofu. Fantastic foods makes a burger mix that I use on occasion. I have also made my own burgers out of lentils, nuts, grains, etc. I am sure you will find burgers you like. Guest guest
I think the texture to Boca is a bit rubbery, and the " grilled " flavor doesn't seem grilled to me. Just kinda stale-like. Definitely try the Morningstar ones. Delish! " L.B. " <elbee577 wrote: There is a brand called " Garden Burger " (I hope I got it right)--or maybe " Garden Burger " is one type of another brand.
