Guest guest
I make " Italian Sodas " all the time with sparkling spring water and a couple of drops of SweetLeaf Liquid Stevia which comes in a bunch of natural flavours. Whole Foods carry it. Our favourites are Dark Chocolate (I make ff Rice Milk " Egg Creams " ), Lemon Drop and Creme Vanilla. They have Root Beer, as well. The pancreas does not recognize stevia as a sugar and neither does Candida. The bottles run about $10.00, but last forever since you're only using a few drops. Guest guest
Nancy, I have tried stevia. I could not take the bitterness. It was expensive too. I bought it at Whole Foods. Perhaps I got a bad box? Do you think it is bitter?? I was a splenda addict for a long time because I thought it was " closer to real sugar " without all the damaging effects. Plus I could cook with it. I have been learning that all of the artificial sweetners are very harmful to health. I have gone back to sugar, which I am not happy about but I don't know what to do. I can't live without sweetness in my life. (I'm not enough) LOL Jeannie nancihank <nancihank wrote: I need to get some Stevia the next time I go to the Whole Foods Market in Arlington where my daughter lives. Nancy C.
