Guest guest
Cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow, For babies grow up, I've learned to my sorrow. So quiet down cobwebs, dust go to sleep. I'm nursing my baby and babies don't keep. ( a variation of a poem by Ruth Hulburt Hamilton) I LOVE THIS POEM!!! I have tears in my eyes (emotional time of the month for me LOL) Thank you, Nancy, for this lovely poem. I am printing it to keep on my fridge. cassie
Guest guest
I embroidered it once and had it hanging on the wall for years. The actual poem's last line goes like this: " I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep. " but since my major thing to do WHILE rocking my babies was to nurse them, I liked the nursing addition. Mrs. Hamilton was one smart mommy, I'll say. The time has sure passed by faster than I ever thought it would for me. Nancy C. Guest guest
And, the time is passing tooo quickly for me as well. My 21 month old is becoming so very independent, and I love that aspect, as she understands more and more. BUT, I miss my swaddled infant, needing me for every little thing cassie nancihank <nancihank wrote: I embroidered it once and had it hanging on the wall for years. Guest guest
I know exactly what you mean. My oldest will be 18 in 6 days. I can't believe I will soon have an adult child. I know that I'll cry all the way through his graduation in May. Stephanie in NV > And, the time is passing tooo quickly for me as well. Guest guest
I am sure I will be crying at Ashley's graduation in May. She will be my 7th and final child to graduate high school and start college.....where have the years gone? I normally have not cried because I always had one or more coming up. This year will be different. And, when Ashley graduates she will be our 6th daughter to graduate from Carlisle High School.....we have had daughters in Carlisle ISD continuously for 25 years, this year. Nancy C.
