Guest guest
That is very very true. The internet has changed many things on sharing everything and made it very easy and quick. Feel complimented if folks want to share a recipe of yours that they have enjoyed making with others. We all benefit from the cooking creations that we all come up with. Where would we be without the volunteers in this world and that is what we are all doing when we share recipes and other helpful tips!!! Making this world a better place, shouldn't revolve around money, but helping each other. Judy - Donnalilacflower Once you post a recipe, it's out there. You won't keep it under lock and key. . Guest guest
I was also wondering about how you share recipes, so this is good to know. When I first started looking for recipe groups, particularly fresh dairy/nut-free recipes for my son, I d to a bunch and began to forget what questions I posted where. So, now I narrowed it down to mainly 4 fairly active, informative, groups w/yummy recipes, including this one! I can't see myself taking recipes and posting them everywhere on the Net. Geesh, people have a lot of time on their hands! Actually, even though you can download ANY recipe online, I still buy cookbooks if the photos are spectacular, and if 75% of the recipes look delish. It's just nice to 'own' the collection, and give 'props' to the chef. Anyone else feel this way? -Robyn , Donnalilacflower <thelilacflower wrote: > > Once you post a recipe, it's out there. This was 2 years ago. I have lost track of that group and person but it isn't fair. If you don't want a personal recipe posted by others then you might think twice about posting it. Guest guest
They may be able to steal your recipes, but they will never replicate the warmth and caring you show us. Thanks for sharing freely and making me feel like a part of your happy family!! SuSim , Donnalilacflower <thelilacflower wrote: > > Once you post a recipe, it's out there. Guest guest
Hi Donna Sorry I am so late responding, a family member had a heart attack and I have been ill myself so have had so much on my plate that I have just barely been able to keep up with my own group (and have over 4000 backlog posts in this one but refuse to delete!!). Thanks so much for your response, Donna, which definitely seems the most sensible answer – I have already shared your Yellow Submarine Soup recipe, of course mentioning both yourself and the group, and have also shared some of Ellen’s both from here and another group, again giving acknowledgement to her and the group. This is such a minefield, which is why I asked the question, I want my own group to be as “ethical” as possible but sometimes I don’t know where I got a recipe, and so many times people post recipes with no original source, so apparently not everyone is as concerned as I am to acknowledge the originator but I will continue to do so where I am able. And you are right, if someone does not want their recipes shared, they should not post them on the internet. Thanks again Donna.
