Guest guest
I'm such a non-TV person but one night I remembered you told me about that station. I found it and have watched a few shows. I get a kick out of Alton and when I'm feeding my Mom I can catch a few more in her room. I love to watch Top Chef. Not so much for the food but to see what these hard working people go through, the time they have to cook, the stress of seeing how their work is rated, etc. My two nephews and niece were always willing to help me in the kitchen and learn. Yes, Judy! The younger generation needs to cook. I find if you let them look through the cookbooks or make easy tasty dishes they really have an interest. My older nephew likes to mix all types of strange things together like I do. Donna ______________________________\ ____ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Guest guest
Top Chef is my fave show along side Survivor, lol. My 5th grade Girl Scouts are coming over Sunday to prepare a meal of their concoction. Each girl was assigned a 'course' & they brought in recipes. We then went over a couple recipes to see how they could be made healthier. We did a big sement on food choices, nutrition, exercise, fat/fiber content, etc. I'm pretty psyched. This whole segment earned them 4(!) badges & 1 participation patch. Beth Donnalilacflower <thelilacflower wrote: I'm such a non-TV person but one night I remembered you told me about that station. Guest guest
Anita, I love all those shows too. Though Ramsey's shows have some _really_ disgusting segments, especially involving... how can I be delicate. Well, I'm sure you can imagine if you haven't seen it. Ick. I have to look away or fast forward through much of that. But that's also true of You Are What You Eat. She employs some really disgusting tactics to convince people to give up their unhealthy diet.
