Guest guest Posted April 19, 2008 Report Share Posted April 19, 2008 I blanch veggies all the time in boiling water, they retain their color this way too when you run ice water over them. Asparagus I blanch for a few minutes like maybe 3 mins, rub with olive oil and herbs and grill on my George Foreman Grill. Comes out perfect and still a bit crisp.
