Guest guest Posted April 20, 2008 Report Share Posted April 20, 2008 @@@@@ Masala Hummus with Almonds - Indian 1 cup almonds 2 cups canned garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained 2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted 5 garlic cloves, chopped 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice 1 teaspoon sugar Salt to taste 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper 2 teaspoon cumin seeds, roasted and ground 1 teaspoon garam masala In a food processor or a blender, blend together the almonds, garbanzo, sesame and garlic until pureed with little water to make a smooth paste. Add the mint, lemon juice, sugar, salt, pepper, cumin and garam masala and blend. Serve cold as a dipping sauce. Makes 3 cups.
