Got My VitaMix!

After reading the discussions here about the VitaMix, and after

straining my very old Hamilton-Beach blender beyond its capacity in

making some Indian and Middle Eastern dishes, I decided to order a

VitaMix. I ended up paying full price, as the coupon code for free

shipping on the Web site video didn't kick in. Then my wife went to

Costco and there was a VitaMix rep there selling the 5200 for $399

(with no shipping, of course). ARGH! Oh well, I've got it, it's here,

and I've already made the Hummus in the Getting Started booklet.

Turned out great. Just the beginning, no doubt. I've just got to make

sure the thing is set to Low before I hit the On switch! Sent the dog

running out her door into the back yard!

Cheers,

Mike

P.S. I've started a new blog on food and cooking. Please stop by when

you have a moment.

I know I just got one also, its great. I got a lesser model the 4500 I think or

4200 something like that, for 299.00 but its more than powerful enough for my

needs. I'm done in minites where it took me 1/2 an hour. And things are much

much smoother.
