Guest guest
Caraway seeds are what they use in rye bread here on the east coast. I don't like caraway seeds, so I make sure that I only get rye bread with no caraway seeds in it. They even put caraway seeds in some sauerkraut so I always check the can of it before I buy one. Rye and caraway seeds look similiar for sure, but taste completely different. Judy - Kathleen M. Pelley Tuesday, April 29, 2008 10:27 PM Re: Fennel seed Fennel is often used in commercial rye bread. Since rye is my favorite bread, I come upon fennel seeds often. Kathleen Eureka CA anyone has any recipes , or uses for fennel seed? I love the flavor so I got some but not sure what vegetarian things it would be good in. (all I can find online is it's use in meat and fish!) Guest guest
I don't like caraway seeds either but I love fennel seeds. The Pakistani restaurant gives them to you after a meal. Very distinct taste. Donna Shine on You Crazy Diamond Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun. Shine on you crazy diamond.
