Guest guest
I am thinking of how I can make a cheese cake i love with soy cream cheese and wondered if there is something I could replace the sour cream with. I don't think I could get away with replacing the eggs though :-) -- Shanan
Guest guest
I was at Kroger's yesterday and saw they had soy cream cheese and sour cream, both by Tofutti. They were in the little freezer that has cold soy milk and soy cheeses in it, by produce. Looks like the larger Krogers seem to get all their stuff together in a huge section. The smaller Krogers may have to split it up. I had been looking in their one little freezer in produce that had the burgers/patties and genesis bread and only discovered last week that on the opposite wall (still on the outskirts of produce) they had another cold section that had the milk and cheeses. Then in regular freezer with breadfast stuff, I found out they had MORE morningstar/gardenburger stuff, which I'd never thought to look there if they had told me some was there. http://blogs.delphiforums.com/n/blogs/blog.aspx?webtag=cozy_at_home & nav=start
Guest guest
Have you tried Tofutti? I really like their sour cream. Before turning veg*n I had always used light or fat free sour cream. Then, when I bought the Tofutti Better Than Sour Cream, it was sooo very thick and creamy! not runny like the FF stuff. Boy, had I been missing out Shanan Anderson <mariahswind wrote: I am thinking of how I can make a cheese cake i love with soy cream cheese and wondered if there is something I could replace the sour cream with. Guest guest
Thanks. I will have to see if they have the Tofutti 'Sour Cream' here in Australia, I've seen the Tofutti 'Cream Cheese', I bought some Soy Mayo yesterday and oh it tastes so like whole egg mayo!! So very pleased with that! I also tried some TVP in my veggie coconut cream soup creation I made last night. Was very nice. Going to try the TVP in some spaghetti tonight! -- Shanan
