Guest guest
If I juice greens I don't like the flavor a lot. Would pineapple make them taste sweeter and more pleasant? Guest guest
Most fruits will add flavor to overpower the taste of greens. Apple and kiwi are my favorite. Guest guest
If the juice doesn't taste good that means it is not good for you, our tong is a " tester " , " taster " , and the " guardian " of our body and it alerts us when we start eating something which is not good for us, follow your taste bud. Not all greens are good, eat only the ones taste right. Ed Jewel Washington <jeweled_nails Mon, 5 May 2008 4:14 pm juicing question If I juice greens I don't like the flavor a lot. Guest guest
Greens and fruits should not be mixed, they have different enzymes and cause stomach problems, try to go mono and juice one thing at a time. Guest guest
No one in our household ever had a problem mixing, we always juice mixtures, we prefer the taste. , C1001R wrote: > > > Greens and fruits should not be mixed, they have different enzymes and cause stomach problems, try to go mono and juice one thing at a time. > > > > > > Ed > rosetalleo <rosetalleo > > Mon, 5 May 2008 5:24 pm > Re: juicing question > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I have added honeydew melon or grapes to the juicer when juicing kale. > > > > , " Elizabeth Jamros " > > <ejamros@> wrote: > > > > > > Most fruits will add flavor to overpower the taste of greens. Guest guest
Our taste buds have to be retrained to like good food sometimes. Many times we have had them so altered by the junk food or such a small variety of foods that folks don't like things that are very good for them. Sometimes we might not immediately like new things, but need to keep trying it different ways until we retrain our taste buds to enjoy them.. Guest guest
I mix an apple with my juicing of green veggies. It adds that touch of sweetness. I've always done this. I would like to see some valid web sites saying otherwise. I have never heard anyone say this before. Guest guest
I agree 100%. I know there are people who believe that mixing is bad -- I have seen that advice before, but I have never seen scientific evidence to back it up. If it weren't for mixing greens and fruit in my smoothie EVERY DAY, my health wouldn't be as good as it is now. It's been miraculous for me. Guest guest
I agree also, like you I've heard its not good to mix. But also like you my health is much improved by doing just that. I don't have time to eat the way I would have to otherwise. This way I make my smoothie the night before and have that for breakfast and lunch. Its been working great for me.
