Guest guest
I bake and cook all the time and yet I never make frozen treats. I think I should start, don't you think? I do freeze green grape and eat them frozen during the summer. Please share your recipes also. We love to make fruit smoothies/slushies with frozen fruit mixed with soy milks and some ice.. We sometimes and make an ice cream with We also love to take frozen juice concentrate, make it up with less water than the can call for and freeze it in juice pop holders. We make lemonade popsickles like this also. This summer we are going to make more homemade ice cream. When we made the Tutti Fruitti Ice Cream I realized how very easy it is to make homemade ice cream. Look forward to everyones answers. When they are frozen solid I take them out and place them in bags. One cube of lemon of lime juice is quite a lot actually (I think I measured about 2 tablespoons?) I also freeze strawberries, peaches, citrus and bananas. I put them in smoothies when the mood strikes. While I am at it, here is a recipe (a naughty one, not healthy) Frozen Strawberry daiquiris 1/2 cup frozen strawberries 1 cube frozen lemon juice Sugar to taste (or substitute what you prefer) 2 oz white rum Blend (in blender or use immersion blender). It should not need ice but you can add some if it is too strong as it is. Nice weekend summer drink.
Guest guest
Another favorite is to freeze yogurt smoothie drinks in popsickle containers. These are delicious. I love the Kefir cultured milk smoothies that are fruit flavored to do this with. They aren't to sweet, which one reason I love them so much. Guest guest
I freeze fruit juices in ice cube trays. Then I add them to my iced tea. Gives the tea a natural fruit flavor as well as sweetens it a little. Chelsea
Guest guest
What a great idea Chelsea I keep a jar of minty simple syrup in the fridge all summer for sun tea. I'm looking forward to trying this idea if it ever warms up around the pacific NW lol. Peace, Diane , " chelsea_cheetah " <chelsea_cheetah wrote: > > I freeze fruit juices in ice cube trays.
