Guest guest
Here are some corning wear dishes that are great for making individual pot pies in. There are several choices in the selecion below that would work great. Walmart and Target carries these. http://www.corningware.com/index.asp?pageId=122 & pid=22 Judy
Guest guest
I think a muffin cup would be too deep and not large enough in diameter. Nancy C. Could you use large muffin tins? I am thinking that aluminum tins would be good, my hubby might join yours in finishing off those meaty pies- the cheaper and worse for you, the more he enjoys it! LOL What if you used large soufle cups? or the little boat-type plates that some side-dishes come in? I know what I mean, but can't explain it, sorry. Cassie " Susan B. There are several great sounding vegetarian pot pie recipes out there, but one of the great (read: highest calorie, lol) parts of the pot pie is the crust all around. I've looked for pie plates that are about the size of one of the pot pies you can buy in the freezer section but I haven't found them. Has anybody run across those? If worse comes to worse I supposed I could buy a dozen cheap pot pies, feed the contents to my boyfriend (who does eat meat) and then keep the aluminum pans to cook my own in. I know some brands use paper pie pans these days so folks can microwave them so I'd have to figure out what brands still use aluminum pans. But if anybody knows of a source of actual glass or metal pie pans in the personal pie size, please let me know. Thanks! Susan Oklahoma Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Guest guest
Hey susan, for your pot pie woes, why not consider creme brulee sized rammekins? They're about the sise of those small pot pie tins. And since they're porcelain, you could toss them in the micro just as easy.
