Chick pea balls

My son and his girlfriend were over for mothers day and I wanted them

to feel as though they were eating the same as the rest of us so I used

ground chickpeas and made them just as I would do with meat. I mixed

them with some Panko breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, italian season, basil

and oregano. Made them into balls and fried them and then simmered

them in a marinaa sauce. Boy were they good!!!!

That sounds really nice. What do you mean by " ground " chick peas? Are they

cooked and mashed or ground whilst dry? Thanks.

-I made a similar recipe, drained the can of chick peas, ran through a

food processor then mixed in some bread crumbs and seasoning and an

egg (which I don't think I'd use next time) and made them into veggie

burgers that I cooked on top of the stove. They reminded me of falafel.
