We had a mama moose and her coule day old twins in the yard this

morning. Mama led them in through the back way and took the tour of

the garden. Like kids anywhere, they turned their noses up at the

brocolli and cabbage, but snacked on the lettuce and chowed down on the

zucchini.

They were so cute I almost did not mind. Almost....

Oh wow Katie, that sounds fantastic - hehe you can tell I don't live

anywhere where we would get mooses (mise, moosie, moosi??) wandering into

the back garden, can't you, because to me it sounds fantastic, no matter

what they ate! But I am someone who once found a row of about 100

caterpillars on her cabbage, and thought they were so cute, (specially the

way they all " reared up " in formation when I got too close) I didn't have

the heart to remove them, so left them there, so no cabbages that year for

us!

Sure did! & nbsp; For a while they lay under my bedroom window, so I got several

pictures of them from above and just a few feet away.

I bet that made for very good pictures. How precious to see them up close.

Deer are that way around here, but thankfully they don't browse thru our

landscape and gardens in our yard. I would be sick if they did.

That story that someone here shared about the cabbage worms, was priceless.

I've never seen worm that raised up when they saw you, much less a row of them

doing it. Too funny. Huge fat green tomato tomato worms are the ones, I get

rid of, because they destroy my whole plant very quickly and leave prolific

droppings everywhere.

http://www.colostate.edu/Depts/CoopExt/4DMG/Pests/tomato.htm Did you know that

these tomato hornworms turn into the hummingbird moth? I had to look up these

strange looking moths on the internet to discover what they were. They love my

butterfly bushes...........

Tomatos aren't really native to our climate, so fortunately, neither are the

tomato horn worms. & nbsp; Do they really have horns. & nbsp; Ogh, how gross.
