Guest guest
Our homeschool group is having an end-of-school party next week. Everyone is supposed to bring finger food to share. Does anyone have suggestions for some finger food that's kid friendly? All I can think of is brownies or pie dough twists with cinnamon and sugar or fruit kabobs. I don't want the younger kids to have skewers from fruit kabobs as I just know they'll start sword-fighting with them. I'm trying to come up with something that doesn't need baking. Any suggestions are appeciated! Michelle

Guest guest
What about filling a crescent roll with chopped broccoli or carrots and then baking it? Tonight we are making a ring of the crescent rolls on a pizza stone, topping with some honey mustard, chopped broc, and swiss. Then, roll the points of the crescent in the center back out and bake until golden. Pre-veggie days, I would put in the little franks and make " pigs in a blanket " now that sounds really gross! LOL Or, we would make the crescent ring with ham and swiss with broc. (Could you tell we were big pork fans! ) But, the crescent rolls are always a buttery treat to me, so I am happy to fill them with spinach, broc, carrots. Celery and sunbutter with raisins (or Craisins) Trail mix (is that considered a finger food?) My mother-in-law told me about how she used to make a type of peanut butter playdough that her children could use as play dough, and then eat it as a treat when they were through playing...It could be an activity...quiz the children on letters and numbers they have learned, or on cursive or math facts, etc... Then they are able to eat it Let us know what you decide! Cassie Michelle Dixon <Petagoatjunction wrote: Our homeschool group is having an end-of-school party next week. Guest guest
You could make pigs in a blanket with Boca sausage or use tofu pups. Guest guest
I use Worthington/Loma Linda - Vegalink, Loma Linda Linkette or Big Franks and wrap them with triangles of Crescent roll dough, then bake.
