Guest guest
I use little jars marinated veggies and spices come in also. I will make a list of the spice blends and herb names and make labels up for the jars. I also just reuse the jars the spices came in and refill it with bulk or the new mix. Thrift stores are good for little jars too. Remember to label tho! I often find myself sniffing a jar in order to figure out what it is lol. hth, Peace, Diane @ <%40> , " Mindy-n-Shawn " <hunnybunns4233 wrote: > > Hello, > > I have been collecting many recipes to make my own spice mixes. Guest guest
I find real inexpensive spices in the drug store for ninety nine cents. I dump them out and use the containers. They are usually onion salt, old looking dried onions or chives. The container is worth ninety nine cents and sometimes they are two for a dollar. Guest guest
I use small mason jars. They seal well and I like the look. You can even get some cute lids for them (patterned). I don't know about the clear jar part though. I try not to buy too much spice (bulk) at once...flavour is better if you consume it within a year. Also, if you buy bulk spices do so from a store that has a lot of product turn over. Guest guest
I have been using the same spice containers for years--literally some of the jars are 30+ years old. You can buy labels to put on them, as needed. I buy most of my spices in bulk @ my local coop in a paper bag that I am reusing. I fill the spice containers again and again. I have actually ended up with so many spice jars that I have been recycling the glass jars. I have been collecting many recipes to make my own spice mixes. Now I have to figure out I can put them in once I make them. Any suggestions? Thanks a bunch. I just love this group.
