Guest guest
I personally tend to enjoy gardening a fair bit, and I've heard of various cases where that does help with depression and associated issues. I know one of the hospitals in the area here has that as a part of their program through out the year if possible for those who are diagnosed with depression and the like. Guest guest
This is not all about food but i hope it may help...even in a small way..... I am in a wheelchair due to a closed head injury compliments my x husband....some of the things i did was music I listened to music low and with headphones as it was my private time....I also kept a journal, sometimes it helps to write your pain both physical and mental...when i was finally able to...I went out..i had prove to myself i could do things myself and when i was done at the end of the day although i was tired and had some pain i was so proud of myself it just didn't seem so bad...and i got off my pain pills by rewarding myself with every pill i didn't have to take....sometimes it was a treat, comfort foods were great...sometimes i new CD sometimes a sticker for my wheelchair lol you have my greatest wishes to feel better and also it really will be better...a lot of people tell you that. but you have to tell you that and take one day at a time..... Guest guest
I'm sorry your daughter was hurt and hope she heals quickly and completely. http://www.immunesupport.com/library/showarticle.cfm/id/1287 Vitamin B 12 shots are helpful in improving mood and cheerfulness. This is a good article. Starting in mid 40's our bodies often start having a malabsorption problem with Vit. B 12. and yet out blood tests don't always show that we are deficent when indeed we are. My doctor say that if patients are in the low normal range, she always suggests it and folks feel much better energy wise and mood wise.BTW this is also good for folks with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Hope this helps, Judy- genny_y2k Thursday, June 12, 2008 12:14 PM [sPAM]: Natural Food Mood Elevator Info. Guest guest
I will let my dad know about this B-12 thing, as we think his depression meds trigger the chronic fatigue. His newest research shows that Chronic Fatigue leads to non-hodgkins lymphoma... Anyone heard about this? Cassie " life's a garden, dig it!
