Group,

I have a question for everyone. A friend of mine has garlic chives

and she doesn't think she can dehydrate them because they have an oil

in them when you cut them off. Is there a way she can or is she right

that she can't? Thanks so much.

Hugs,

Mindy

Mindy,

Not sure 'bout dehydrating, but with my chives, I cut them put them in

ice cube trays, pour water in and freeze.  Then, I pop them out

& put in zip lock bags.  Just take out as many 'cubes' as

needed.

I BUY DEHYDRATED GARLIC AND SHALLOTS AND CHIVES. SEEMS LIKE THEY

WOULD REALLY SMELL UP THE FOOD DEHYDRATOR. i DON'T KNOW HOW IT'S

DONE, MAYBE IN THE OVEN ON LOW LIKE YOU WOULD DO SUN DRIED TOMATOES.

I'M CUIOUS NOW. Sorry I left my caps on. No yelling from here
