Tahini is a paste made from sesame seeds. One buys it, one

doesn't make it unless one is an awful lot more ambitious

than I am. :) It keeps a long time in the fridge. It's

much used in Arab and general Middle Eastern cooking.

As peanut butter is to peanuts, so tahini is to sesame

seeds.

It has a very good taste, and adds a lot of flavor plus a

rich creaminess to whatever you use it in.

Most supermarkets nowadays carry it, even here in rural

northern Pennsylvania. Certainly, natural foods stores

carry it.

LOL@ " must drink more coffee. "

Thanks for answering about the tahini. I was just about to when I saw you

had... and doing it before coffee. I am impressed. *coffeemug salute*

I am thankful every day that coffee is vegetarian!

It is often time near the peanut butter in the grocery stores also. I love the

Maranatha brand. Seems to stay mixed better.

Tahini

I drove the whole way to Whole Foods in Pittsburgh (about an hour away) just

to buy tahini (sesame paste) and last week I found it in Walmart with the

Jewish food!!! Same brand, half the price! Who knew??? LOL
