Guest guest
Hahaha. You can get around every situation if you have too. Funny thing is the veg burger hot dog throws them off and they become so curious they want to try one. They would never figure you are that weird vegetarian trying to get them to eat a veg burger. Guest guest
I'm not home right now but go to the files and look for the potato-lentil burger and I also used the lima bean burger. I can repost after I get home. Guest guest
Yes that's it. I love those. You can spice them up, you just need to mix them up and if wet add more potato. They work. I freeze them and they make such a nice quick meal. I like to roll them up in a flour tortilla or wrap a romaine lettuce leaf and use as a sandwich wrap. Donna Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile " rosetalleo " <rosetalleo Fri, 27 Jun 2008 19:20:01 Re: Fourth of July " hotdog " solution.. This one below? from Brad? I have been looking at the files for burger recipes, I would like to make a bunch and freeze between wax paper for quick meals, but in the past the veggie burgers I have made seem to fall apart, even though they taste good. I was wondering what to do so they hold together (without eggs) (from the files) Lentil-Potato Burgers 1/2 cup chopped onion 3 celery stalks, chopped up 2 tablspoons olive oil 2 cups cooked, drained and mashed up lentils 2 cups mashed potatoes 1 cup whole wheat or white bread crumbs 1 teaspoon dried parsley or basil 1 1/2 teaspoons dried sage 1 teaspoon thyme little salt & black pepper little dried crushed pepper flakes Preheat oven to 350F Saute onion and celery in oil until tender, then combine everything in a bowl and mix well. Form patties and place on a well greased baking sheet. Bake about 15 minutes and turn and bake another 15 minutes. You can fry these up in an oiled skillet too. @ <%40> , thelilacflower wrote: > > I'm not home right now but go to the files and look for the potato-lentil burger and I also used the lima bean burger. Guest guest
Hi everyone! July 4th weekend is quickly approaching, and I've got a dilemma.. Every year, my grandparents host a HUGE celebration with around 400 guests.. Because of this, they always have a service line with hot dogs, slaw, chips & beans. There's no grilling, everything is cooked in the morning. I've only seen one kind of alternative to hot dogs.. the red & white package (can't remember the brand) that I wasn't a fan of. Anyone know of any hot dog solutions other than whatever brand that is so I can be inconspicuous? (having veggie burgers causes problems, because then 20 people want to know why they couldn't have a burger) Thanks!

Guest guest
I bake up my red bean and spinach burgers and then freeze them. The reheat great. I usually try to take them out of the freezer a couple of hours before I bake them again. Gayle **************Gas prices getting you down? Search AOL Autos for fuel-efficient used cars. Guest guest
If you are still looking for hotdog ideas, garden burger makes a hot dog, though i haven't tried them. Boca Burger makes a sausage that i thought was pretty good. Also, i'm not sure if you meant the dogs were the tofu pups (they are red and white, but there may be a few brands), personally i like them, and have given them to people who didn't know they weren't meat... Guest guest
Did I miss the " red bean and spinach burger " recipe coming across, or is it in the files? Guest guest
Oh, I really like those too. I had one today. However I did look very closely and it has 270 per serving (link) and it has like 12g of fat in each one. There is over 600 mg of sodium too. Yikes! So, go easy with these. -Gypsy </message/67647;_ylc=X3oDMTJzM WxyNmo3BF9TAzk3MzU5NzE1BGdycElkAzE2MDkyMDQwBGdycHNwSWQDMTcwNTA0MTcxNgRtc2dJZ AM2NzY0NwRzZWMDZG1zZwRzbGsDdm1zZwRzdGltZQMxMjE0NjY2MzA5> Re: Fourth of July " hotdog " solution..
