Guest guest
Made this this morning we're going to grill out later today. With the jalepeno and chipotles it is a little zippy, but I think it will give great flavor brushed over anything the last minute of grilling: Coffee barbeque sauce 2- 4 cups strong coffee 1 cup tomato paste or catsup 3/4 c brown sugar i chopped onion 1 chopped jalepeno ( for hotter sauce) 2 cloves crushed garlic 1 T powdered mustard 1 T molasses 1 T cumin 1/4 cup cider vinegar 3 canned chipotle peppers in sauce saute onion and jalepeno if using in saucepan with cooking spray until browned and tender. add coffee, turn heat to low Add remaining ingredients, bring to a boil, turn back to a simmer stir until thickening. Cool slightly, put mixture through blender until smooth. Makes 2-4 cups sauce. Will keep in refrigerator for about 1 week.
Guest guest
What a wonderful recipe! I love any recipe that has coffee in the ingredients. I bet it will add richness of flavor and also help with giving a nice color to the grilled veggie foods.
