I have a Green Power, which I think is very similar to a Green Star, made by

the same company. It is a good juicer. It may have a feature that the

Green Star doesn't, or maybe it's the other way around. I am the second

owner. The first owner only used it a few times. I have probably used it

less than 50 times.

Anyway, I don't juice anymore and would be willing to sell it for $200.

[RawSeattle] juicer advice

I have heard that the Green Star Juicer is a very good one. Does anyone

here have one?

Does anyone know of a place in the Seattle area that sells them? I found a

few places online,

But was wondering if someplace local sells them.

Thanks

Lisa

I am wanting to buy a veggie juicer but can not decide what brand or

size is actually a good deal.

I am the only one that will be using it so I don't need a huge one but

the others that I have seen look cheaply made around the town I live

in.

Does anyone have a product they could recommend and were I can buy it

please.

I will appreciate any and all help.

Thank you,

Karen

I like my Breville juice fountain. You can usually get them at Bed,

Bath and Beyond and use the 20% off coupon that is so widely available.

I got mine from amazon.com for about the same price and free shipping.

The Breville is easy to clean -- you can toss the pieces in the

dishwasher -- and it does a great job of juicing most things. It

struggles a bit with greens (I find it works best to ball them up).

It's fairly reasonably priced and for awhile there I was using mine

every day.

If you want to exclusively juice greens or wheat grass, you need a

different kind of juicer. Something like an omega or a green star.

I love me Greeb Star juicer.  They are expensive, but they are worth it.  They

get all the juice out and leave the pulp almost dry.  Most juicers leave the

pulp a soupy mass rather than extracting all the juice.

I have a Champion Juicer. It is the " masticating " style of juicers. It

grates, then " chews " then squeezes. It will juice anything including

wheat grass. It get's the job done. The thing to remember about

juicers is that an amazing amount of fiber is separated from the juice,

so whatever kind you have, you will be spending what may seem like an

inordinate amount of time emptying the fiber container.

Good luck!

The Bosch Universal mixer centrifugal juicer attachment I just got does that

as well. The

carrot and apple pulp were very dry. I was going to make a carrot cake but

since we already

still had half of a pound cake, I took the pulp out and gave it to my month

old baby chicks and to

the adult chickens as well. They LOVED it!

This attachment is not like the older Bosch centrifugal juicer I bought in

1981....I gave it to my

daughter to try out and then found this one on ebay. I like the way this

later model works as it

has a container into which the pulp goes so you can juice more at one time

without having to

clean it out and start over. I am going to let my daughter keep the older

one. She really likes

juicing for her little ones.

I love my vitamix. Its the best. I broke a cheaper one. The vitamix is very fast

and makes it very smooth, no matter what you put in. I like sweet potatoes and

carrots, turnips and beets.

I'm the only one using my blender also. I figure I'm worth it

Ah I read it wrong. I'd rather blend than juice, then you get the whole thing.
