Mock Chik Salad Steph here you go, you can cut

recipe in half too

Mock Chik Salad

1/2 cup water if using TVP

1/2 cup unflavored TVP textured vegetable protein (see note Re: tempeh)

2 teaspoons instant vegetarian chicken bouillon granules

3 tablespoons vegan mayonnaise or mayonnaise

2 tablespoons vegan sour cream or sour cream

2 tablespoons chopped green onions

2 tablespoons chopped nuts

1/4 teaspoon curry powder

a handful of thawed green peas is good in this

In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil, then add the TVP granules

and

broth powder. Remove from the heat and mix well, let cool.

In a mixing bowl combine all the ingredients and mix thoroughly. Serve on

bread,

crackers, pita bread or use as a filler for lettuce wraps.

Note-You can sub the TVP for 8 ozs of tempeh, steam it for 15 mins. crumble

it

and sprinkle a little Old Bay seasoning over it, omit the bouillon granules

and

proceed with the recipe.

And so castles made of sand fall in the sea, eventually. "

Donna, this looks like a terrific recipe and my style too, simple and

quick! Thanks so much for sharing! FYI, if anyone has a Trader Joe's

nearby, they offer a fabulous vegan mayo. It's really delish! We

have a Potomac Adventist Health Food store within walking distance of

my house that sells the TVP in bulk for really cheap too. ~Steph

I just love veganaise! I don't eat it because it has no cholesterol and half the

fat of mayo, I eat it because it is delicious!
