Guest guest
I felt the same way at first. I couldn't stand the scent it left on your hands either. I love it now and have been using it for years. I toss a handful into my soups as they cook. Guest guest
I read the title fast and thought it was about cilantro JAM!!!! I was looking forward to a recipe for it, LOL! But now I see it says Jann. I have a friend who can't stand the taste/smell of cilantro (thinks it's soapy), but I think it adds so much to Asian and Mexican and American dishes. --- On Sun, 7/6/08, Donnalilacflower <thelilacflower wrote: Donnalilacflower <thelilacflower cilantro Jann Sunday, July 6, 2008, 2:53 PM I felt the same way at first. Guest guest
Too funny! But that might work...like mint jelly? I'm not a jam/jelly maker though. Jann (aka CilantroJam!) Guest guest
LOL, that is funny! anyway though, I think it is all in the quantity used, it needs to be adjusted to the taste of the one eating it. probably once one is used to it, the amount can be increased in recipes. hugs, chanda - Ellen Lederman Sunday, July 06, 2008 3:10 PM Re: cilantro Jann I read the title fast and thought it was about cilantro JAM!!!! Guest guest
Absolutely - a little (fresh) goes a long way. Guest guest
I feel the same way. I really only like cilantro in Mexican dishes such as salsa. It has a very strong taste and smell. I went to Panera and they had a Mediterranean sandwich and I saw hummus and did not notice that it was cilantro hummus and it was TOO overpowering and made the sandwich suck to me! I mean to write them so that they can offer a milder flavor sandwich spread or hummus that is vegetarian. -Gypsy Re: cilantro Jann Posted by: " Puterwitch " puterwitch <http://profiles./mariapclady> mariapclady Sun Jul 6, 2008 2:11 pm (PDT) LOL, that is funny! anyway though, I think it is all in the quantity used, it needs to be adjusted to the taste of the one eating it. probably once one is used to it, the amount can be increased in recipes. hugs, chanda
Guest guest
right, same with me at whole foods. The veggie quesadilla would be great if they just cut down a abit on the cilantro. hugs, Chanda - Gypsy(Curls) Monday, July 07, 2008 1:49 PM Re: cilantro Jann I feel the same way.
