I felt the same way at first. I couldn't stand the scent it left on your hands

either. I love it now and have been using it for years. I toss a handful into

my soups as they cook.

Cilantro is definitely an acquired taste. I remember the first time I

tried fresh cilantro, I HATED it, but it's grown on me over the years.

I read the title fast and thought it was about cilantro JAM!!!!  I was looking

forward to a recipe for it, LOL!  But now I see it says Jann.

I have a friend who can't stand the taste/smell of cilantro (thinks it's soapy),

but I think it adds so much to Asian and Mexican and American dishes.

Too funny! But that might work...like mint jelly? I'm not a

jam/jelly maker though.

LOL, that is funny!

anyway though, I think it is all in the quantity used, it needs to be adjusted

to the taste of the one eating it. probably once one is used to it, the amount

can be increased in recipes.

I'll bet cilantro Jam would be good! I actaully did not like

cilantro at all the first time I tried it, but now I LOVE it and

think it is SO good in almost anything! I could use a whole bunch in

one recipe easy! lol

Absolutely - a little (fresh) goes a long way.

I feel the same way. I really only like cilantro in Mexican dishes such as

salsa. It has a very strong taste and smell. I went to Panera and they had

a Mediterranean sandwich and I saw hummus and did not notice that it was

cilantro hummus and it was TOO overpowering and made the sandwich suck to

me! I mean to write them so that they can offer a milder flavor sandwich

spread or hummus that is vegetarian.

right, same with me at whole foods. The veggie quesadilla would be great if they

just cut down a abit on the cilantro.
