Guest guest
Hi Victoria, you live by Whole Foods. In the freezer you will see the Quorn products. The boxes are orange. Try the chik patty and see what youi think. I make a couple pf the roasts each Thanksgiving. Donna Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile " vgoodwin22 " <vgoodwin22 Sat, 12 Jul 2008 17:37:48 WHAT IS QUORN? I've seen a lot of people mention this - and it sounds good but I can't find the recipe in the files and there seems to be no way to search using just the word. Can someone direct me or post the recipe. Thanks. Victoria

Guest guest
I don't think you make it from a recipe. You can find quorn products in the grocery store or health food store in the frozen foods section (at least that's all I've found). It comes in different varieties: naked cutlets (no breading) is one example. Here's a definition I found online: Quorn products are healthy, delicious and meat free. The unique ingredient in all Quorn foods is mycoprotein which is a nutritious member of the fungi family, as are mushrooms, truffles and morels, and provides the taste and texture of a full range of meat products and ready meals but is entirely meat free. Guest guest
Check it out here (it's the brand name for micoprotein): http://www.quorn.com/ I can also get it in Stop and Shop in the natural food section (frozen). Use the chunks (I saute them first, add a little tumeric for color but only because I like it!) in anything that you might have used chicken (our fav is " quorn " broccoli and pasta (mushrooms, garlic, olive oil)). Guest guest
Does it contain wheat and/or gluten? I am allergic to both. Guest guest
Kathleen, The Quorn Chicken-Style Tenders and Turkey-Style Roast are gluten free, but both are produced in a facility that also processes gluten products. ¸.·´ .·´¨¨)) ((¸¸.·´ .·´ -:¦:- Terri -:¦:- ((¸¸.·´ On Jul 13, 2008, at 10:59 PM, Kathleen Pelley wrote: > Does it contain wheat and/or gluten?
