I've bought about 3 baskets this season and, so far, I haven't yet had the perfect fig. During the height of fig season I buy a basket a day. :-D Sharon D M wrote: > I could eat figs daily but they aren't always easy to find. Guest guest
Hi there, Thanks DM for posting this really super informative link on figs! I didn't know that figs were in the mulberry family! And to think I was complaining earlier in the year when our 2 mulberry trees dumped so much fruit on our lawn that the Robins and other birds were actually getting " drunk " on the over-ripe berries!! No kidding, the birds were actually lying around, perfect fodder for any neighborhood starving tom cat because they wouldn't budge! Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for listing that link. Also, I didn't realize how figs were such a vital source of calcium and antioxidants. Makes me crave a fig right about now!! ~Stephie , D M <deranged_millionaire wrote: > > I could eat figs daily but they aren't always easy to find.
