Guest guest
I saw one for the first time just a couple days ago. It was at a picnic and I did not tryit but it looked good. I asked several people about it and all anyone said was that it is hard getting decent produce in Alaska. I am glad to know it wasn't just a strange defective watermellon. Guest guest
Oh, we have had yellow meat watermellons in Texas for years and years. They are just as sweet as a red meated one. Have you had a " seedless " watermellon yet? Yum. I love watermellon and don't get to have it nearly as often as I did before I became a Type II diabetic. MMMMMM.....crisp, cold and juicy.....fantastic!! Nancy
Guest guest
I haven't had a watermellow with seeds in years. All that we get are the seedless ones. One of my earliest memories was my dad sitting all of us kids down in two rows, facing each other, and teaching us to spit watermellon seeds. My mom had a fit. Sometimes I don't think my dad likes us much. Katie --- On Tue, 7/22/08, nancy curtis <nancihank wrote: nancy curtis <nancihank Re: yellow watermelon? Guest guest
I saw this at the grocery store of Jungle Jims for the first time a couple of weeks ago. My DD's wanted watermelon. So, I went to where they were and lo and behold I see a yellow one. One was split and I peered inside. Needless to say I was put off by the yellow color and did not try it. Next time I will to see if there is a difference or I can get behind my idea of what color a watermelon should be. LOL -Gypsy
Guest guest
To me the yellow watermelon I bought in the store was sweeter and more flavorful than the red ones I buy at the store. It was like eating a regular watermelon that had just come out of the garden. The whole family loved it and we would buy it again and recommend it to others. Guest guest
I got a yellow watermelon recently at the local farmer's market. For the size it was much heavier than the read, juicier and yes sweeter. I loved it and I wish I could find more!!! --- On Wed, 7/23/08, Cherie <csulery wrote: Cherie <csulery Re: yellow watermelon?
