Guest guest
Where are you from(be as vague or specific as you choose)? I live in Toronto, Ontario. What helped you consider being a vegetarian? My religion primarily (SDA). We ate very little, if any, meat for most of my life. My family started to later (maybe once a week). One day when I was 15 a member of a group I was with passed on a particularily unappetising dish my saying...no thanks, we're vegetarian. That was the day I gave it up completely. Of course, the fact that I love animals and the environment helped too! What do you enjoy about being a vegetarian? Knowing my eating isn't causing suffering of animals and the planet. Besides, it's cool!! What tips do you suggest to new vegetarians? Reminding them of the variety of foods and the benefits to self and planet. Guest guest
I'm from Orange County, California. I've lived here all my life in various cities. My husband and I bought a house in Dana Point a couple years ago, and we're very comfortable here. Why did I go veg? I never really liked meat products much, even as a little kid, so it wasn't hard for me, but ultimately, it was an ethical decision. I figure if I can stay alive (and even thrive) without causing the suffering of animals, well, why not? I've been an animal lover since I was a toddler, and I just don't believe we have the right to inflict unnecessary pain and suffering on other species simply because we are able to. Needless to say, I'm rather an odd sort around these parts. ;-)
Guest guest
I live in baltimore , maryland. I became a vegetarian a couple of months ago because of what I saw on the news. It showed the treament of cows, they where being pushed by trucks when they were to sick to move and then sold to stores. After that when ever I saw meat, I saw the actually animal. I literally cried after I ate a piece of fried chicken and looked at the bones. I would tell all new vegetarians dont let anyones comments bother you (meat eaters). You do what makes you happy. Its hard in the begining because alot of people are crital and think if they put out a bowl of corn where happy. We just need to educate them.
