Katie, is it the BBC Vegetarian magazine you were given? It is a great

magazine but currently they only do a summer and winter special, they

stopped the monthly magazines a few years ago :-(.

Digestive biscuits? Well I have always struggled with what Graham Crackers

are, and I have come to the conclusion that they might be the same thing, as

they are both used to make the base of cheesecakes – digestives crumble very

easy – they are sweet but also savoury enough to go really well with cheese.

They come plain, or also half covered with chocolate. I asked an American

friend and their description of Graham Crackers made me think that they are

the same thing – and I have had those mini graham thingies that come in

different flavours, and they are made of similar stuff to our digestive

biscuits.

Not sure if this helps! I am more than happy to be corrected by someone

else who knows better than me!

I have found a magazine that I do like and

want to share it with you. It is " Vegetarian " , a British magazine.

Rather than the fussy, busy, labor intensive recipies in Vegetarian

Times, this has family type dishes. Just good food. Of course I

haven't figured out yet just what " digestive biscuits " are, but I am

looking forward to learning as I have a perfectly wonderful sounding

recipe using the cookie.

I was given the magazine by a friend and am going to check into getting

a subscription. The issue I got was their summer issue with over 100

recipies that their chefs tested before using. The pictures are mouth

watering. There are several that I plan to use this week.

Can you tell how excited I am about this!

Several of the recipies are for take along picnic dishes that can be

enjoyed hot, warm or any temperature between.

As soon as I make some of these, I will post the recipies.

Sorry,  That website was on the cover of the magazine, but I think " Vegetarian "

is just one of many cooking magazines they publish.  Most of that we site is not

vegetarian.

I will look some more and see what I find.  I just got the magazine and am so

excited about it that I flipped through it, looking at recipies, but not the non

recipe stuff.

Yes, that is the magazine I have.  By winter I hope to have figured out how to

get another issue.

Thanks for the info on digestive biscuits.  There were a couple other things I

did not recognize, too.  Now I have a translation resourse, thank you.

Yep..

But it doesn't just have the vegetarian recipes.

Although you can change the search to just search for the vegetarina

ones.

You can find it at:

http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/

Basically BBC Good Food magazine comes out monthly but is mixed veggie

and non-veggie.

As someone said the monthly veggie one was cancelled a few years ago and

now it only runs to special issues.

Hope this helps,
