Thanks so much! You know, someone else I know said that the YL oil called

Thieves gets rid of mold. But it costs $40. for a tiny bottle.

Hi there~

I finally got a reply from the person I emailed about the mold. She used 20

drops of Purification (a YL blend) in 4 oz of water in a spray bottle so I

would try this with the Tea Tree and see if it works! Let me know and I

hope

this helps~sorry it took some time to reply!

It actually costs $32 but it is worth it's wait in gold~believe me! I don't

think I would use it for mold (even though it would work!) but it will knock

out the worst toothache or cold, flu, virus, pneumonia or anything else you

can think of! This stuff is amazing! I would pay it in a heartbeat. I

don't use or need drugs or over the counter medications anymore but if I did I

would reach for Theives before spending any pocket change I had to support the

drug industry! It is definately an immune builder!

Why wouldn't you use it for mold? The local person sells it for $40.

As a raw foodist, I never get colds. I only wanted to buy it for mold.

It would work, it just isn't my first choice. I would use Purification.

The local person is charging you shipping and tax and probably a fee for

ordering and delivering it to you. If you order directly from the company it

is

$32.

I never get colds either but my son does occasionally and I love to use it

on him. It also works for the rest of the entire world that does get sick.

If you ever do a cleanse or fast and get any detox symptoms it is excellent

for that as well. If we ever had a plague, this would be my first choice. I

would not be getting immunized, etc. It is very powerful~ a huge oxygenater

of the body. It is also very useful in disinfecting things. I use it to clean

my house, room sprays, hand soaps, toothpaste, etc.

My accupuncturist just taught a conference where he came out with flu like

symptoms and a throat that was getting sore. He put one drop on his tongue

and it was gone within minutes. Of course, he isn't raw~he is macrobiotic!

Hi Judy~

I don't know if Purification works better. Let me clarify! All the

testimonials that I have read concerning mold for the past 2+ years have been

with

Purification. I haven't heard of anyone using Thieves~except for me!!! I did

not have Purification at the time so I grabbed my Thieves cleaner and added

some Thieves oil to make it more concentrated and used that. It worked

great! In the Essential Oils Desk Reference it lists both Purification and

Theives for use with mold. So why are all the testimonials for Purification

then?

I think it is because of the price difference ~ Thieves running $32 and

Purification at $17. If I had both, I would use the Purification and save my

Thieves for virus, colds, flus~emergency use!

So if I had another mold issue in the future I would grab Purification

because it is less expensive and because I have read so many testimonials on

it!

Thieves should work just as well though if you want to spend the extra $$ as

it did for me!

Does that help??

Actually, I have to disagree with you. THIEVES is a blend based on herbs

that were used during the plague to protect thieves who were robbing the

sick and dead, from getting the plague. It has a 99.96% kill rate against

airborne bacteria and it would be my choice to rub on my feet every day to

protect from getting sick. It is a little pricey for me though, so I too

use PURIFICATION whenever I feel a cold or other illness coming on. I rub

it on every 2 hours or whenever I feel the cold symptoms coming back. My

kids are regularly being exposed to other sick kids and my own kids rarely

get sick because I use this oil on their feet daily. Another interesting

fact for those of you into the Law of Attraction - the frequency of THIEVES

is much higher at 150 MHz as opposed to only 46 MHz for PURIFICATION.

Let's back up this thread as it's getting off topic and talking about

killing a fly with an a-bomb.

You don't need fancy blends.

Keep theives for your own body when you are going into highly contagious

areas. Purification is great for the air you live in but for getting rid of

the mould stick to your two basic anti fungal oils and those are:

1) Oil of Oregano.

2) Tea Tree Oil [melaleuca].

The OoO is strongest but is very harsh to the skin surface so be careful.

The Tea Tree is gentler but should work.

-

Clean the mould and then rub one of the above oils on the surface.

Now to keep it off let's get back to more natural. Spray or spritz full

strength vinegar on the areas after each cleaning and the mould will stay

away. Young Living has lots of wonderful blends for many purposes but don't

waste Hi grade expensive oils on mere mould.

Essential Oils called Thieves!

It is a blend of clove, lemon, cinnamon bark, eucalyptus and rosemary.

Yes, that's a big help!

The apartment complex I live in said they would come in and use chlorine

bleach to get rid of the mold. I wanted to avoid chlorine, as there's no window

in my bathroom. Maybe I have to spend the $ on Purification. But the person

who sells it in this town will probably charge a lot more than $17, since they

charge $40 for Thieves.

I already have oil of oregano here, so I might as well try it. How would you

Is there a lot or a little? I would put on gloves as oil of oregano is a

hot oil and you don't want to be touching the mold either. Put it full

strength on the corner of a damp sponge and sponge the areas. Leave on for

awhile

(a few hours to day) and then test to see if you can wipe it away~use the

same sponge if the oregano hasn't eaten it. hee hee!

I think then you can use the vinegar as Rusty suggested to clean the area!

Try this and let me know!

Sandy

P.S. You can always order Purification or any other oil direct from the

company but if that is the only thing you are ordering, it is better off to get

it locally so you don't have to pay for shipping. It works out to be cheaper

in the long run.

Just a little

I typed the wrong thing. What I have here is Tea Tree Oil.

I don't even know where to put the sponge after it comes into contact with

the mold.

The mold appeared in the first place because I had a piece of soap resting on

a spnge in that corner. When I discovered the mold, I threw away that sponge.

Maybe I'll just use a sponge and throw it away.

I think then you can use the vinegar as Rusty suggested to clean the area!

Try this and let me know!

Thanks, Sandy. Assuming it would be the same procedure with the Tea Tree Oil.

Kathy,

You will have better luck with your berries if you remove them from

the bag or container and place them uncovered in the veggie

compartment/bin of your fridge. Room temp. is best but don't place

them in a bowl with other fruit such as apples or bananas unless you

want them to ripen faster. Plastic bags and containers only make the

fruit and veggies mold and age faster.
